I am a Chartered Physiotherapist with many years of experience treating musculoskeletal conditions: disorders affecting bones, joints and muscles. I love working with people to help them recover from illness or injury and to discover the power of therapeutic exercise. I am a Certified Pilates Mat and Reformer teacher and a Certified Hatha Yoga teacher and I use a combination of both to achieve my own health goals.
My purpose is to help people to achieve their goals whether it is to manage pain or to allow them to participate in activities they enjoy. My philosophy in my own life is that prevention is better than cure and the role that appropriate exercise has to play in this is key for me.
I have spent my career developing and refining my knowledge and skills to become specialist in exercise for health and rehabilitation. My moto is move more, feel better!
I am passionate about the power of movement to reduce pain and promote wellbeing and the scientific evidence supports movement as an effective intervention.
After injuring my back as a young physiotherapist and suffering with intermittent low back pain I discovered Pilates and in 2005 attended my first Pilates training course and I have never looked back.
As a woman of a certain age I am all too aware of the effects of the menopause on mine and my clients bodies. I have developed my Bone Healthy Pilates Programme to combat the long term effects of menopause on muscle mass and bone loss.
